CNC Leather Cutting

In industries such as upholstery, automotive, marine and aircraft interiors precision is key when cutting leather. CNC cutting offers unparalleled accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional hand cutting methods.

VetiGraph are proud to be the UK agents for Kuris and GraphCut CNC Leather Cutting Machines

Easy to use and maintain, our CNC leather cutting machine solutions will help you cut costs and optimize your processes.

Kuris CNC Leather Cutter

Cost effective, advanced leather cutting solutions

VetiGraph offers a range of CNC leather cutting machines to suit a variety of budgets and industries. Our machines are available with a choice of either a static operation with a flatbed non-conveyorised table or a dynamic table, including a conveyorised cutting and offloading area.

All machines can accommodate a range of tools for a variety of cutting applications to minimise fabric waste, precision CNC cut leather to the highest quality, and reduce costs. All our leather cutting CNC machines are backed up with a comprehensive warranty package and UK-based service and support.

Advanced Technology

Optical devices including cameras and projectors are used for recording and visualisation of the hide.  The nesting software works alongside the technology to nest the pieces perfectly, avoiding any flaws.  There is also an entry level system with two nesting options: 1) the templates are nested by hand or 2) the shape of the hide is mapped by the operator and the software does the nesting.

Our leather cutting systems are available in multiple options:

ON-LINE / IN-LINE SOLUTION

On-line or in-line CNC leather cutting is where all the processes are carried out on the main body of the machine. Option 1 – On-Line: The camera and projector are mounted on a gantry over the machine. The cutting and offloading are all done on the one machine. This reduces the overall cost, has a smaller footprint and is perfect for small to medium size businesses. Option 2 – In-Line: For larger businesses or anyone looking to cut leather in volume the system can be extended with the addition of a dedicated scanning station and offloading table. This means while the first hide is cutting a second hide can be scanned ready for cutting. Once the first hide is cut it moves to the (optional) offloading area while hide two is cut and hide 3 is scanned – and so on.

OFF-LINE SOLUTION

Off-line leather cutting is for companies who need a high volume of hides cut as quickly as possible. This innovative solution involves having a separate scanning station.  This station or stations is separate from the cutter.
  1. The hides are scanned and advanced software is used to mark and detect any flaws.
  2. The software nests the templates around the flaws.
  3. A barcode is generated and attached to each hide.
  4. The hides are then stored waiting to be cut.
  5. When each hide is loaded onto the CNC leather cutting machine, the barcode is scanned. This pulls up all the relevant cutting information related to this hide. Nothing more needs to be done on the machine.
  6. The hide is then cut, offloaded and sorted.
Splitting the process ensures a high level of efficiency for both the scanning station and the leather cutting CNC machine. Utilising a double bridge on the cutter speeds up the process even more.

In-line leather cutting station:

  1. The scanning station.
  2. The CNC cutter – can either have one or two cutting bridges.
  3. The (optional) offloading table

The conveyor moves the hide from station to station – providing maximum effiencey for each station.

The off-line leather scanning station

Hides are fed through one at a time to be scanned and the templates are nested around the flaws in the hide. Once this process is finished the hides are stored ready to be cut.
